Est. 2024 · Lucknow, India
Lucknow's first dedicated Satvik fine dining experience — no onion, no garlic, only the quiet intelligence of Ayurvedic cooking.
Our Story
Nirmal Rasoi was born from a simple question: why does food cooked without onion and garlic — the Satvik way — taste so startlingly alive? The answer, we found, lies in what you remove. When the kitchen strips away ingredients that mask and overwhelm, the true character of every vegetable, spice, and grain comes forward.
We are rooted in Lucknow — a city whose culinary identity runs deep. We carry that heritage with respect, reinterpreting its refinement through the lens of Ayurvedic wisdom. Our menu changes with the season, because bodies and harvests move together, and we believe food should follow that rhythm.
No dish leaves our kitchen without intention behind it. Come hungry. Leave light.
"Prepared with intention, served with grace."

Years of Satvik cooking
Satvik cooking excludes rajasic and tamasic ingredients. Every dish here honours that principle without compromise.
We source seasonal, locally grown produce from farms around Lucknow — ingredients aligned with the body's natural rhythms.
Our kitchen moves slowly and intentionally. Food prepared with care nourishes differently — this we believe completely.

What Our Guests Say
“I have been searching for a truly Satvik dining experience in Lucknow for years. The Shahi Paneer here is unlike anything I have had — you simply cannot believe it has no onion or garlic. Every visit feels like a quiet retreat.”
“As an Ayurvedic physician, I am particular about food preparation. The kitchen here follows principles I recommend to my own patients — seasonal ingredients, no heavy masalas, food made with genuine intention. I send every health-conscious patient here.”
“We celebrated my mother-in-law's birthday here and she was moved to tears. She said the food tasted exactly like her own mother used to cook. That is the highest compliment I can imagine for any restaurant.”
“The Satvik Biryani is my weekly ritual now. Dum-cooked in a sealed handi, fragrant with whole spices and saffron — it is proof that restraint in cooking produces more flavour, not less.”
“The ambiance is serene and the staff is gentle. You feel the care that goes into every dish. The Thandai alone is worth a visit — I dream about it.”
